Isle of Wight Pearl welcomes all to our accessible, Brighstone Showroom. Our venue currently has double automatic doors with no lip at its main entrance. Accessible toilets are available and there is no fixed seating in the Pearl Café. We have a complimentary wheelchair available which is suitable for use on-site.

ACCESSIBILITY IN Isle of wight pearl

Our spacious showroom allows full access even when busy. Large turning circles and flat fronted cabinets enable closeup browsing suitable for buggies, wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

One-to-one shopping is available as well as the Pick-a-Pearl experience that can be enjoyed by everyone.

The entrance to our Pearl Café  is connected to the main venue. The café has no fixed tables or chairs, for free movement.

We have highchairs for use in our Pearl Café.

TOILETS

Our accessible toilet has grab rails and doors wide enough for both manual and powered wheelchairs.

A baby changing facility is available in the accessible toilet as well as in the main ladies toilets, with space for a pram or pushchair.

COLLEAGUES

All our colleagues are trained to a high standard in customer service. Each colleague is qualified to give informative pearl tours, which offer a hands-on and visual experience. These are available on a one-to-one or group basis.

Do you have dedicated seating or a seating area for people with disabilities?

Seating is available in the Pearl Café. All tables and chairs are movable, we have non-fixed furniture. Soft seating is located around the venue.

Getting here

parking at our venue

The easiest way to get to Isle of Wight Pearl is by car. Within our large car park we have 6 extra wide parking spaces within 10m of the main entrance of the building. Our car park is tarmac level ground with a small incline slope into the main entrance. There are no steps on-site.

Isle of Wight Pearl is located on the Military Road (A3055), one of the top 5 most scenic coastal roads in Europe (the best on the island!), situated on the outskirts of the pretty parish of Brighstone there are cliff top walks and historical monuments nearby – muddy boots and well-behaved dogs welcome!

Public transport

Currently we only have access in the summer months via public transport.

Public transport is available using Southern Vectis Bus route 12 into Brighstone. There is a public footpath (BS25) from Brighstone to the Isle of Wight Pearl (Approx. 1.4 miles).

Three Bishops Pub > Warners Lane > across public carpark (public toilets available) > Public footpath BS25 > Gally Lane > Turn left New Road > Turn right to signpost for recreation ground BS24 > Public bridleway BS62 > Chilton Lane > Turn left through Chilton Farm > Military Road > Cross the road > Isle of Wight Pearl.
